Chapman Freeborn’s London VIP team were able to watch one of our very own charters (a Citation Jet 2+) fly past the window of our Gatwick HQ on Friday carrying superstar DJ Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) to some European festival gigs off the beaten track in Germany and the Czech Republic this weekend.
All the more important of course was bringing him back for his performance at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday night (among several other Chapman Freeborn clients!)
It was so important for the artist not to miss the vital rehearsal for the top secret performance at the Olympic Stadium that we even placed a fully-crewed backup jet on standby at Cologne so that in the remote instance of a technical problem with the primary charter, then we could mobilise Plan(e) B to get him back in time.
In the end, the CJ2+ flew the entire trip and Fatboy Slim was an integral part of an incredible closure to a memorable Olympics that’s made our London team proud to be British!
